Description:

Native clumping grass with narrow green leaves with finely serrated margins and brown flowers and seed heads. |
Position:
|
Full sun to part shade. Tolerates both wet and dry soils. It is best kept away from pedestrian traffic due to the serrated margins on the leaves, which can cause skin irritation and scratching. Space 5 to 7 per square metre. |
Care:
|
Water as required for 8-13 weeks until established, then as required. Plant in a well mulched garden. Use slow release fertiliser in spring. Trim older leaves as required and cut back halfway every 2-3 years. |
