A native spreading grass with dark green strap-like leaves. The leaf margins are recurved and finely serrated. Blue flowers to 1m tall from August to May. |
Position:

Full sun to part shade. Suitable for most soils, but prefers a well drained soil enriched with leaf mould and compost. |
Care:
|
Once established it is very hardy. Water as required for 8-13 weeks until established, then do not overwater. Plant in a well mulched garden (chunky mulch is recommended). Fertilizing with blood and bone or a slow release fertilizer in spring encourages healthier plants and removing the old brown leaves is the only maintenance that is required for this plant. |
